HHBS should not be congratulating the council on this rather should be asking questions as to why this was not done sooner – doing so is akin to giving an adult human with no medical conditions a round of applause every time they manage to use the toilet to relieve themselves as opposed to just doing it in public. Left upto the “Heritage Champions” or whatever grand title the self proclaimed saviors of heritage in the council chamber call themselves all that would be left is a pile of rubble where this beautiful building previously existed. This building would make an ideal conversion into flats, a art market and live music venue or a new central library.
